SnackTAXI Review and Giveaway

When school started, and I was packing lunches more frequently, I noticed how quickly we were going through throw away items like sandwich/snack bags, napkins, and silverware. I was thinking there had to be better solutions to sending all this future trash in and a simple way to still keep B's food fresh.

SnackTAXI was invented in 2003 by a mom of three named Erin. She was overwhelmed with the amount of plastic baggies she was using to pack her kid's lunches and wanted to create something to cut back on the trash. She also wanted to make high quality, affordable products to reduce waste and be more Earth friendly, this is where SnackTAXI was born.

SnackTAXIs are reusable bags that are:

Machine Washable
BPA, Phthalates, and Lead Free
Made in the USA-Massachusetts actually

I contacted SnackTAXI and asked them to share their products and they were more than happy to work with us. I worked with Jill, who provided excellent customer service and knowledge. She let me know which items they would like me to pick from and gave me my choice of design and product.

We liked the extra touch of green ribbon to hold everything together.

B chose the Organic Cars Sandwich Sack

Made of organic cotton, this sandwich sack is large enough for a full sandwich, wrap, or larger snack. It measures 7.5" wide x 6" high. It retails for $9.50 and also has a matching Snack Sack and Napkin.

The SnackTAXI also has a Velcro closure to ensure nothing will fall out. It is very well made, the sewing is done very nicely and the fabric is a great color and design.

SnackTAXIs are lined with a coated nylon and can be machine washed/dried or simply wiped clean with a damp cloth. Mine has held up well with just cleaning with a damp cloth and air drying.

I sent a full turkey and cheese sandwich for B inside his Sandwich Sack. I was a bit worried it may dry out before lunch but was very pleased when he brought home half afterschool and it still felt pretty soft.
