Part of MBP's Halloween Spooktacular
A few years ago, I became interested in making my own wreaths. My husband and I lived in an apartment, and all we had for an 'entry way,' was our red front door. Hubby was in grad school, so apartment living it had to be for two years, and I was determined to do everything in my power to make it a place we could call home. So, I bought a few materials and jotted down some ideas and made two or three different little wreaths. I thought my wreaths were pretty cute- but when I came across Frazzled Fabulous, a fantastic Etsy shop, which offers gorgeous wreaths and more, my sweet little creations were seriously put to shame!
I was lucky enough to connect with Christy Soutter, owner and head diva of Frazzled Fabulous. I thought that our MBP readers would be interested in knowing where they could find great deals and absolutely adorable designs in the way of seasonal decor, and everyday items. As soon as I laid eyes on a photo of the EEK Halloween Wreath in the Frazzled Fabulous Etsy Shop, I knew our MBP readers would love it, and I have to say- I loved it from afar! I reached out to Christy and asked about featuring her delightful designs on the MBP blog, and she agreed to send in one of her outstanding wreaths for review. The EEK Halloween Wreath fit in perfectly with our MBP Halloween Spooktacular, so Christy got right to work, making a new wreath, and sent it off to my house.
It took just a couple of days for the wreath to arrive on my doorstep, and as I saw the mail man carrying the huge box holding the wreath, up my front steps, I ran outside to meet him! I knew what was inside of that box, and I couldn't wait to see it!

Christy really went the extra mile to make sure that the wreath was well-protected, in case any bang-ups happened to occur during shipping. Little paper pieces were taped around certain parts of the wreath, just to cover and protect some of the creepy crawly friends awaiting me!

About the wreath...
This beautifully eerie wreath for Halloween, is completely handmade by Christy. The wreath itself is made from strips of black burlap, which have been tied on to the wreath form. This creates a lush nest of black for everything else to rest and glitter against! The wreath is about 24" across from side to side, and features sparkly and spooky embellishments: three 8" letters, spelling out 'EEK,' which are hand painted, and decorated with fitting seasonal Halloween paper. There are lots of creepy crawlies on the wreath, too- plastic insects in various sparkly colors, and little black spiders, added to a bright orange bow!
Every wreath is made to order, so none of them will ever look exactly the same, however, they will be very similar. Christy is happy to work with you, if you have ideas for customizing the wreath in certain colors or with certain embellishments, if they are available. Just send her an Etsy convo, and she'll be happy to work her magic on a special wreath, just for you!
I couldn't wait to see what the EEK Halloween Wreath from Frazzled Fabulous would look like, hanging on my front door. Being such a huge lover of Halloween, I feel like a little kid when I place my Halloween decor. I knew the wreath would look fabulous, and would even match my other Halloween decor pretty spot on. I placed the wreath on my door hanger, stepped back to admire it, and just giggle and beamed- again, like a child. I couldn't help it! It just looked so wonderful, and I could picture the faces of the kiddos and their parents congregating on my front porch to collect their candy on Halloween night. I can't wait for Halloween to get here!

I expected the EEK Halloween Wreath from Christy to be pretty great, but I have to be totally honest here, and tell you all that seeing the wreath in person, and all of the hard work that Christy poured into it, just wildly exceeded my expectations! My husband isn't the biggest fan of my holiday decor, but even he couldn't stop talking about the wreath, after he saw it, and we hung it up. I know that this is a very special new piece of decor, and I will hold it close to my heart for many years to come. I see it as being one of those things that the kids can't wait to find and put out for a special holiday... a memory in the making!
