Swiggies Review and Giveaway

Fall is finally here in Indiana, and while I would say I am sad that summer is over, I am glad to have some cooler weather. It was hot this summer, one of the hottest summers on record, and along with the heat we had a severe drought.

My kids wanted to be playing out in the sprinkler and baby pool, but with a mandatory water ban, those activities were out. We made do with what we could, sandbox, water table, bubbles, chalk, but it was so hot we really couldn't stay outside long and the kids were always complaining about being sooooo thirsty. I hate going in and out of the house and I dislike taking bottles outside, they get gross, left somewhere in the yard, or fought over, the water bottle can never win, until now.

Swiggies is a company that specializes in wearable water bottles for adults and kids. Julie Austin, the inventor and owner of Swiggies, wanted to create something that was a hands free way to carry water while running, playing, working out, and being on the go. These wearable water bottles are also made of FDA approved, food grade, BPA free plastic that has been tested and approved as "kid safe". Swiggies happily agreed to send us their product to use and share with our readers.

Our package from Swiggies has arrived!
"What did we get?"
A 2 pack of Child Swiggies in Green

I knew these wrist water bottles would be perfect for us, for playing outside, soccer games, or just riding in the car. First, they come in a 2 pack, one for B and one for S, so nobody has to share! Second, they are lightweight so both my kiddos can easily wear them and they are made of durable, BPA free plastic.
B had to try one on quickly to see how it was going to work. He could easily manage getting it on and off by himself. The Swiggie sits around the wrist area, wherever is most comfortable with the spout/cap facing closest to your hand. The Velcro closure should make the bottle fit tightly but not uncomfortable and you are ready to go.

I quickly washed both of our Swiggies up so they were ready for use when we needed them. The next day we were out playing when the "I'm thirsty" started. I went inside, filled up our Swiggies, and strapped one bottle on each kiddo's wrist.

Scarlett's is on backwards here, but that is how she insisted it needed to go. She was happy as a clam playing in the yard and sandbox once she had some water to drink when she was thirsty. The top just pops up to open and down for a sealed close.
Beckett enjoyed his water and didn't seem to notice the Swiggie on his arm as he ran around and played on the play set (please don't mind the weird 5 year old wearing goggles to play in the yard, since we had swimsuits on he thought goggles were appropriate too).
Child Swiggies hold 8 ounces and Adult Swiggies hold 11 ounces of water, sports drink, whatever your choosing may be and are available in a variety of colors. They retail for $12.95 plus shipping and handling.

Swiggies was recently chosen as the winner of the Toyman Award of Excellence for best innovation and quality. Congrats Swiggies!!
