Mikarose Baliey Dress (Review & $50.00 GC Giveaway)

I know I've said this already, but I am so over summer! Bears repeating, in my opinion. This always happens... I'm ready for summer at the first hint of a warm, spring day... and about half-way through summer, I long for the spring-like North Carolina days that fall brings back to us. When it finally does start to cool down, I leap for joy, and head straight to my closet- ready to pack away the sleeveless tops and pull out my fall and winter dresses, sweaters, scarves and boots! I'm ready for the deep red, burgundy, purple, silver and black nail polish, and to grab fall fashion by the reigns and run with it!

In order to make sure I am prepared for the fall fashion season, I've been poking around the web, looking for some new clothing brands. I found Mikarose a few weeks ago, and fell in love with their fun and flirty styles. I was given the opportunity to review a dress from Mikarose- I even got to submit my top three favorites! One of the three dresses was sent to me to wear, review and enjoy, and I am so happy to have it among my fall dress collection!

About Mikarose

Mikarose specializes in stylish, modest and elegant apparel. That's what drew me to Mikarose, in the first place. If there's one thing I'm not- it's flashy with my clothing and jewelry. My husband prefers that I dress conservatively, and I try my best to respect his wishes. The idea of Mikarose came about when it was realized how hard it is to find a brand of modest clothing for women. The team at Mikarose searched and searched, for modest, stylish clothing for women, but just wound up frustrated. So, Mikarose was born, and the result has been a wonderful line of elegant clothing for women- perfect for everyday wear, to corporate events, and elegant occasions.

Bailey
The Bailey dress by Mikarose

I chose to review the Bailey dress in slate, which is a lovely, subtle grey color. I was drawn to this style of dress, because it's simple, and stylish. The sleeve length is appropriate for spring, summer, fall, and even winter, when paired with a cardigan. I envisioned this dress looking great with sandals, pumps, flats, and even tights with boots. All I knew was that I loved it, and was thrilled for the opportunity to try it for myself.

When the Bailey dress arrived from Mikarose, I couldn't wait to slip into it. It looked so comfortable, and soft. When I put it on, I loved the way it fit- it hugged my body, but not too tightly. Grey is one of my favorite colors to wear, and the slate color is a nice, lighter grey than most of the grey apparel that I already own. The Bailey dress is absolutely comfortable, and the half sleeve length gives me a little coverage over my upper arms. The sleeve length actually helps to make this dress appropriate for every season.

The detail around the waist of the Baliey dress is so cute, and smart. It features two plackets that cross over each other and button in the front. Underneath this adorable detail, is a bit of a gathered waist. This is like a dream come true for me, as I don't want anything to be too tightly fitted around my tummy. I still have loose skin from having a baby (a baby pooch, if you will), that I am so self-conscious about. When wearing the Bailey dress, I feel comfortable, and confident!

See for yourself...

Great fit, perfect with my peep toe wedges!

I love the detail at the waist!

The Bailey dress is also available in navy and pale pink, sizes XS-2XL.

I really love that Mikarose cares about preserving modesty. I don't have a daughter, but if I did, I would want her to know that she doesn't have to dress provocatively, to get attention, or to get ahead- and setting a good example, myself, would be a wonderful way for her to learn that. I've always felt that classic looks are classy, sophisticated, and smart... plus, it's not a terrible thing to leave a little something to the imagination.

Hats off to Mikarose, along with many thanks for giving women everywhere the opportunity to shop stylish looks, at amazing prices!

  7. Dressing modestly is important to me because I've gained a good amount of weight since having my son a year and a half ago. I'm all for people dressing in whatever makes them comfortable, but think there's something to be said for those who manage to look drop dead gorgeous without baring it all!

  22. Patience is a virtue? Modesty is a virtue. I think teens these days dress ridiculously scandolous. We should cover up what we have to keep people guessing, not show it off.
