When I started planning what we would pack in our carry-on bags, I knew I needed things that would occupy my kids and be easy to contain on an airplane. I also am a parent who likes to give "little gifts" during travel to help my kids forget the unfun part of being stuck in a seat. I really tried to stick with Disney themed items for the trip, just because I am weird like that.


During my search for the little gifts, I of course visited Etsy. I put "Disney travel" in the search engine and after browsing around a bit, I came across a shop on Etsy called My Sunshine Designs.

I was excited to find this shop because they have some great handmade items, but I was mainly focused on one item that had shown up in my Etsy search...the Cars Crayon Roll. I immediately emailed Chantel, the store owner, to see if she would be interested in being a part of the MBP Disney Feature, which luckily, she was! My Sunshine Designs was created in 2009, and has sold over 2000 items on Etsy and has 100% positive feedback.


Chantel sent us our package, which came from Canada, so it did take a little longer to get here.
It was nicely wrapped in blue tissue paper with a My Sunshine Designs business card and all the contact and website information, plus a little handwritten note from Chantel.

Each Crayon Roll is handmade by Chantel with a machine washable, cotton fabric sewn together with interfacing for extra support, and a ribbon to tie. Our Crayon Roll is wonderful, quality, handmade work.  The fabric is soft and the pattern is perfect for our Disney theme.


My Sunshine Designs Crayon Rolls are available in three different sizes-Mini, Medium, or Large. The Mini Crayon Roll will hold 4 crayons and retails for approximately $2.86 USD. The Medium Crayon Roll will hold 8 crayons and retails for approximately $5.72 USD. The Large Crayon Roll will hold 12 crayons and retails for approximately $8.32 USD. Shipping charges will vary.

Unfortunately, because of the craziness of getting seated and flying on the airplane, I never had a chance to get a picture of the Crayon Roll on our vacation. I will say, that our crayons never rolled onto the floor or got lost because we had them safely secure inside the Crayon Roll. The pockets are just the right tightness to hold one crayon in place. I am very pleased with how well our Crayon Roll worked and how easily it rolls up and ties. Beckett could easily get his crayons out by himself and also roll it back up. It is a great size for traveling and will come in handy when we have our next vacation.
