Though it's still officially winter, it is definitely spring time in North Carolina. Everything is in bloom, I've had to have the air conditioner running, my allergies are flaring up, and I'm making sweet tea every few days! The other thing that signals spring is the fashion I am seeing everywhere! I love fall and winter fashion- style wise, they are my favorite seasons... but spring definitely has it's own loveable fashion trends.

I know that nautical prints are in, blazers are big, bold, electric colors are back, and I am trying to adapt, because I'm not so great at being bold when it comes to my own personal style. When it comes to fashion for the kiddos, anything goes. I was recently introduced to a newer company to Direct Sales, Vintage Couture, by stylist Jennifer Aldous. Vintage Couture brings quality, high-end fashion trends directly to the customer. In 2010, they moved from just the storefront into direct grasp of consumers. Vintage Couture offers beautiful, fashionable clothing for babies, kids and even moms!

Jennifer asked me to browse the fashions available through her Vintage Couture website, and pick out a couple of things that appealed to me for Balian, who just turned 17 months. I am always on the hunt for super cute clothes for him, so I was thrilled for the opportunity to work with Jennifer. As I browsed her site, of course, I fell in love with multiples styles and pieces. I found myself browsing the absolutely adorable outfits for little girls- hoping someone else in the family has a sweet little doll that I can dress up! Balian's pretty good about letting me dress him up, though. I decided to choose an item that Balian would be able to wear now, so I looked through the spring catalog, and finally decided on the Choo Choo T-Shirt. Since Balian is ALL BOY, and loving cars and trains, I knew he would love it. I also knew that it would be of exceptional quality, and I couldn't wait to have it in hand!

When we received the Choo Choo T-Shirt, it was all wrapped up. I loved the tag that was pinned to the shirt. Everything about it said 'vintage.' The Choo Choo T-Shirt come from Vintage Couture's J Collection, which features T-Shirts, Button-Downs, and Polos for boys. The Choo Choo T-Shirt is a heather grey colored T-Shirt, with black trim around the crew neck, and black strip along the bottom of the tee. The 'Choo Choo' words are appliqued onto the T-Shirt, and the whimsical train is screen-printed onto the tee. The T-Shirt itself is cotton, and the black trim is spandex.

I could not wait to get Balian into this adorable shirt! I knew the shirt might be a tad big on him, but at this point, I welcome that! No one wants to spend money on something their child will grow out of in a few weeks! I showed the T-Shirt to Balian, and he immediately pointed to it, saying, 'tain, tain!' So smart! He pulled off his own PJ top, so I could put his new shirt on. He loves wearing his 'tain' shirt from Vintage Couture! The applique and the screen-printed design are raised, so he really likes the way it feels. The shirt wears extremely well for playing, being out of the house, etc. I tried to keep it super clean, but lunch and dinner messes happen sometimes. Into the wash it went, and came out looking just as nice as it did when we received it. No shrinking, no holes, no stains, etc. I was really impressed that it washed so well, and our second wash went just as well as the first.

Balian has worn the Choo Choo T-Shirt from Vintage Couture three or four times already, and has received compliments on it while we've been out and about. I can't wait to get some more clothing for him from Vintage Couture. Their spring catalog is filled with stylish, affordable designs that will be perfect for spring, summer and even into the fall months (because we have two seasons here in NC- warm and HOT!).
