Custom Made Bows Review and Giveaway

New day, new hair accessory, that is my girl in a nutshell. Today our newest hair accessory comes straight from Custom Made Bows.

Custom Made Bows was created by a crafty stay at home mom, Leah, who wanted to start a small business doing something she enjoyed. That something is hair accessories and tutus! Scarlett and I were lucky enough to get to try one of the pieces from Custom Made Bows.

Leah had our hair accessory to us in less than a week and we were excited to see it and show it off. My kids have learned that when something large comes in the mail, it is usually for one of them. When the package arrived, Scarlett was the lucky winner of the box.

Inside the sturdy shipping box, nicely wrapped in tissue paper, was this...

A bright, multilayered bow secured on a ribbon lined alligator clip.

Our bow has 5 layers of ribbon, each layer is different and the total bow is approximately 6".

The top layer is made of 1/4", bright red korker ribbon
The next layer is made of 5/8", cow print ribbon
The third layer is made of 1/4", white with black dots ribbon
The next layer is 7/8", black ribbon
The final layer is 7/8", red and black ribbon

On the back of the bottom layer is a red ribbon lined alligator clip and a red ribbon to securely tie all the other ribbons together as well. It seems to be very well made and is really an eye-catcher.

The bow was rather heavy for Scarlett's thin hair, nothing new, so we just did what we usually do and attached it to a headband. We layered it with a thin, black band and it looks great. She has worn it out and gotten many compliment about how much it stands out and really unique.

Wearing it to soccer, you still need to look cute right?

While we are going to continue wearing it now, we are also going to pack in our suitcases come our Disney 2012 trip. It has the perfect colors to match Minnie Mouse and the many outfits I have already put back for S to wear.
