If there's one thing I love about this time of year, it's the weather. I am not a warm weather lover by any means, and hot temperatures are definitely not for me! I know, I live in the wrong place. North Carolina weather is so fickle. It was sixty-five degrees yesterday, but will only be in the lo fifties today. The great thing about this time of year is being able to add layers to your person. Easy to do with coats, scarves, sweaters, etc... but do you really want to have to be bundled in layers upon layers inside your home?
I recently had the pleasure of being introduced to Private Quarters, a Direct Sales company I knew nothing about. Cheryl Little, Independent Consultant with Private Quarters knows all about making your home a comfortable place to start and end your days. Private Quarters offers luxurious, yet affordable products for (you guessed it) your private quarters, i.e. bedroom, bathroom, etc. My little bungalow is definitely a cozy little place to call home, but I could always use some lush products and added comfort! Private Quarters has everything from blankets, throws and feather beds to towels and comfortwear! This company is definitely a dream come true!
The Private Quarters Heathered Sherpa Blanket
I have been browsing and earmarking lots of things in the Private Quarters catalog that was sent to me. I see so many items that would make wonderful Christmas gifts, and maybe even a few things I'd like for myself! Cheryl immediately knew that she wanted to send me the Heathered Sherpa Blanket from Private Quarters. I love blankets! I love having them around the house... I keep a basket of blankets all rolled up in my family room so they're on hand for naps, movie night, etc! I also like having extra blankets on hand, because you never know when you might have unexpected house guests! So, I waited for my new blanket to arrive with much excitement! In the meantime, I called Cheryl to have a little chat. She lives all the way out in OK (where Britt lives), and it was so nice just to talk with her for a few minutes. She told me a little bit about herself, her business and we chatted about The Mommy Blog a bit, too. She is so, so sweet... I wish I lived closer to her so I could have a Private Quarters party!

My new Heathered Sherpa Blanket arrived within about a week of Cheryl placing the order for it. It came beautifully packaged in a clear plastic zipper case, neatly folded and tied off with a pretty ribbon. When I removed the blanket from its packaging, I was completely blown away by how soft and silky it felt! I'm telling you- this is no ordinary blanket! The Heathered Sherpa Blanket features double sherpa! Oh, yes- both sides of this blanket feel exactly the same, and I love that, because there are some blankets that are only soft on one side. This is a microfiber and polyester blanket, but it doesn't feel like it. My hubby is weirded out by microfiber, and he thinks this blanket is fantastic! The coloring in the blanket is beautiful, too. Cheryl sent me the blue Heathered Sherpa Blanket, which is a darker blue on the outside and a lighter blue color underneath. I'm actually snuggled up on the couch with the blanket as I write this review! Yeah, I love it that much!

This is the perfect blanket for curling up on the couch to watch a movie with your family, to take a nap with and more! If you're heading out to a fall football game, I would suggest taking the Heathered Sherpa Blanket with you! It's lightweight, but super warm! I think this would make a wonderful gift for many different occasions: bridal showers, weddings, birthdays, get well gift, new mommy gift, graduation gift, and Christmas, too! These blankets are available in three sizes: Twin/Extra Long, Full/Queen and King/California King. This is great news for for those of us who know college age kids! If those kids are living in a dorm, chances are, they are sleeping in extra long twin beds, and they have to have special bedding. Private Quarters keeps the college kids in mind, as well as those of us who are just plain tall! I am of average height, and even I have some blankets that don't cover my toes when I lie down with them. I let my dad try this blanket out, and it nicely covered his super long legs! The Heathered Sherpa Blanket is available in blue, brown, plum and grey. Moms everywhere will love that it's easy to care for, as it's machine washable and can tumble dry on a low setting.
