We're kicking off fall fashion here on The Mommy Blog with a whole bunch of fashion and beauty related reviews and giveaways! To make sure we start things off on the right foot, I thought I'd share a list of Fall 2011's top fashion trends!

 Stay on trend this fall with a little lace...

#1 Fitted blazers, coats and vests...

That's right, ladies- flaunt those curves! Be proud of those post-baby bodies! Accentuate your figure with flattering jackets.

#2 Bright pants...

Well, I may opt for bright leggings. :) Wear if you dare, ladies!

#3 Mustard hues...

Be careful with this one. Not everyone has the right complexion to pull this color off.

#4 Chunky sweaters with gauzy skirts...

If you ask me, it's one or the other, not both.

#5 Polka dots...

A classic, if you ask me. Pair a polka dot top with a black pencil skirt, pumps and pearls.

#6 Jade green...

I love green! I'll have to be on the lookout for a new green piece for fall.

#7 Fall-like colors...

Think rust- burnt oranges and reds. Dress to match the changing leaves.

#8 Camo-inspired pieces...

I'm not really into this one. I could leave it.

#9 Cozy sweaters and long maxi skirts...

Can't we just stick with sweater dresses? What's with the sweater/skirt pairing?

#10 Slit up the front skirts...

Yeah, slit up to you know where... not mommy friendly!

#11 A little bit of lace...

Okay, this is more like it. Nothing wrong with a little dainty lace.

#12 Chokers...

I used to love to wear my mom's choker necklaces. Wonder if she still has any?

#13 Head to toe plaid...

Nothing wrong with plaid, but I beg you- wear one plaid piece at a time!

#14 The Nine to Five Dress

Yup- working gal dresses are in, in, in!

Well, I'll be trying out some of these trends, but you're more likely to see me in my leggings and tunics, skinny jeans, or my J. Crew-inspired khaki's with a tee and cardigan + flats go to outfit. That's just who I am. Wear whatever you want- wear what makes you comfortable and unique. This fall, be yourself- and if you're feeling brave, try a new fashion trend every now and then.
