People often say that motherhood gets easier as your children grow up. I'm not sure that's true. The sleepless nights may eventually fade, and you may no longer be packing lunches or helping with homework, but your heart never stops being a mother's heart. Whether your child is five, twenty-five, or fifty, you still celebrate their victories, worry during their struggles, and hope they always know they have someone cheering them on.
To every mom reading this: give yourself credit. The love, patience, and sacrifices you make matter, even when they go unnoticed. Your impact reaches far beyond the moments you can see. If your children are nearby, give them an extra hug. If they're miles away, send a text or make a phone call. If you're a mom missing a child or remembering one, know that your love is just as real and just as enduring.
Motherhood isn't measured by perfect moments. It's measured by a lifetime of showing up with love.
Question for readers: What's one lesson your mom taught you that has stayed with you throughout your life? I'd love to hear your stories in the comments.
