January is finally over. I don't know about you, but it seemed to be the longest month of Mondays for me. The cold weather, the month long head cold, and the lack of sunshine really did me in. I haven't gone out to see friends because it's just too cold. It doesn't mean that I didn't have an eventful month.

I got some reading in, watched a few shows that I seem to always miss with limited schedules. I thought being an empty nester would give me more free time... it does not. I feel busier and more rushed as the days pass. I am positive I only feel this way in January though. 

My husband asked me yesterday if I had any plans for it today and all I could do was laugh. This funny man thinks I'm leaving in the house in negative temperatures or that I made plans for a weekend. My work grind is Monday through Friday with every minute pretty much planned out. I will not make plans on a weekend. It's the two days where I don't have to really be an adult if I don't feel like it. Today, I choose to be wrapped in a blanket with a book and my cat on my lap.
