As a full-time, single working mom of two kids under 11, I’m always looking for ways to make life just a little easier. Between homework, laundry, dishes, school projects, sports pick-ups and drop-offs, games, and full workdays, fitting everything in can feel impossible. Some days, simply keeping everyone fed and where they need to be feels like a win.
Over time, I’ve learned that a few well-chosen subscriptions can be absolute lifesavers. These are the ones that genuinely help me save time, money, or carve out a tiny pocket of “me time” in the middle of the chaos. They might not be for everyone, but where I live—and in the season of life I’m in—I honestly don’t know how I’d function without them.
Walmart+: My Time-Saving MVP
The first subscription I cannot live without is Walmart+. I usually opt for the yearly plan because I know I’ll use it nonstop, but there’s also a monthly option. As of February 2026, Walmart+ costs about $12.95 a month or $98 for the year.
Living near a Super Walmart makes this subscription even more valuable. I can order everything in one place—groceries, clothes, pet food, school supplies, and yes, last-minute toys. As a very budget-conscious mom, I’ve found Walmart+ consistently offers lower prices than many other delivery services.

One of my favorite features? Free shipping on any order. No minimums. No hoops to jump through. I can add items as we realize we need them—poster board for a project, SmartPop cheddar for snack duty, ground coffee because… survival.
Free delivery is another game-changer. I can order the night before or even the morning of and schedule a delivery that fits into my day. When your schedule is already packed to the brim, that kind of flexibility is priceless. Walmart+ saves me time, money, and more than a little sanity—and that’s why I recommend it to every busy parent I know.
Everand: Turning Commute Time into “Me Time”
The second subscription I love is Everand. The Everand app gives you access to millions of audiobooks, ebooks, and more—including bestsellers and new releases—on iPhone, Android, iPad, or the web.
I personally use Everand almost exclusively for audiobooks. My commute is an hour each way, and as someone who works hybrid three days a week, that adds up to six hours a week in the car. Instead of letting that time drain me, I’ve turned it into something I actually look forward to.

Everand’s premium plan costs $16.99 a month and includes three audiobook unlocks per month—which is more than enough for me, even as a pretty heavy listener. One feature I love is the sample option. Before using an unlock, you can listen to a preview of the audiobook. This has helped me discover new authors I adore—and avoid wasting an unlock on a book that just isn’t my vibe.
Beyond audiobooks, Everand also offers ebooks and podcasts, making it easy to enjoy content while cleaning, commuting, or sitting in the car waiting for practice to end. It’s one of the easiest ways I’ve found to fit reading into a life that otherwise doesn’t leave much room for it.
Small Subscriptions, Big Impact
These two subscriptions may seem simple, but they’ve made a big difference in my day-to-day life. They help me plan ahead, save time, and take a little pressure off—while also giving me space to grow personally and enjoy things I love, like reading, even when life is busy.
Because let’s be honest—we’re moms. We’re doing all the things.
Now I’d love to know: What are your favorite subscriptions as a busy mom?
