My daughter was so excited when she heard about the Hide&Scent kit. She jumped into opening the package right away, reading the thorough instructions on how to get our dear Ember to take part in our Hide&Scent play. We placed the scent stone into the adorable dog-shaped pouch's back pocket and attached the colorful rope bracelet. We kicked off the training by having Ember thoroughly sniff the pouch, immediately establishing the scent as the game’s primary objective. Following the instructions, we gave her small treat rewards to reinforce her success in sniffing the pouch. After ensuring Ember understood the object of the game, Madelyn, Ember, and I dashed off into the backyard.

Madelyn excitedly held the pouch, searching the backyard for places to hide. Ember quickly followed, and we saw her begin to sniff rapidly in search of the pouch. In no time at all, Ember found the pocket and got her next reward. Their game of Hide&Scent went on for quite some time! Madelyn loved being able to play with Ember (she isn't the ball-fetching type of dog) in a game they could both enjoy. As a mom, it was absolutely fantastic watching them both dive headfirst into this new game, all while enjoying some fresh air and quality time outdoors!
