Happy Tuesday, all! I hope and pray that you're doing well, and enjoying absolutely gorgeous spring weather... wherever you are. In NC, while we've been covered in pollen (head to toe) lately, it seems like a reasonable price to pay for such pleasant weather. Low humidity, mild temperatures. Why complain?

Last weekend, we were prepping for a little party we would host for our oldest daughter's birthday. I was on the hunt for a new outdoor area rug to replace an outdoor camping mat that we had been enjoying on our patio. It was faded in spots and just needed to be updated. I noticed that ALDI (of all places) had some really nice-looking indoor/outdoor rugs in their Aisle of Shame, and I headed to my local store to check them out. As luck would have it, they had a dark blue rug that would match our patio decor, so I went ahead and purchased it. They also had some natural/black rugs that I thought would look great on our front porch. Since I wasn't really planning on purchasing a bunch of rugs at once, I decided to just get the rug for the patio, and to leave the black/natural rugs for another time.

I had to pop back into ALDI after leaving a meeting on Monday afternoon. I just needed to grab something quick for dinner. Of course, I ran down the Aisle of Shame... just to see. The black and tan rug was still there. "Ugh. Not today," I thought. I knew I would have to head back for a full shop the next day.

Fast forward to today... Tuesday. Had to run back to ALDI with my youngest babe for a few more items. The rug was still there. It was meant to be! There was one rug left, and I decided to go ahead and treat myself. Huzzah! The rug is now in my possession, and I can't wait to put it out! It's the little things- isn't it? I have to remind myself that every now and then, it's okay to treat myself.
