Happy Winter Soltice. I never really followed what that was other than the start of winter.  Maybe because I am always waiting for the start of spring or summer.  If you have read about it, it is pretty interesting. The soltice happens when we are at the furthest tilt from the sun.  This will make the daytime hours short, but a really long night.  

  

Today will be a day with my nieces.  We will finally see the movie Wicked and finish our Christmas shopping.  I am not sure why I chose the shortest day of the year to do it but, I am looking forward to it.  I haven't been in the holiday spirit and I am sorry to say it is because life has gotten in the way.  I've been too busy being an adult.  So, I decided to take some time off and spend time with my family. 

How is everyone holding up with the holidays coming?  Are you finished with your shopping?  Do you need prayers this holiday season?  Sit a spell with us and drink your coffee,tea, or cocoa.  Remember that the holidays are more about presence than presents.
