It's been a long 4 years since E left to serve his country. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him and wish I could make his favorite birthday cake. How is he 23 years old? Where did the time go?
E was born when I was a mere 19 year old kid. I didn't have my life together, but I soon learned that my entire life would center around him. In 23 years nothing has changed. He is my greatest accomplishment. As parents we want to raise our children to be productive members of society. I look at him and am amazed by the level of respect, resilience, and strength he has.
Just shy of 19 he turned to the military to help grow mentally and physically. I can honestly say he is stronger than I was at that age despite raising him. He never ceases to amaze me and I am incredibly honored to be his mama. Would you please help me in wishing my son a blessed birthday?
