Two of my favorite things in life are music and dancing! My playlists are very eclectic with music from many decades and centuries too! Come find out five of my favorites from the 1970s-now!
1970s
Ahhhh, Crystal Gayle! I loved her hair as a kid and wanted to grow mine to be the same. When this song came on I would belt it out in my best voice possible, longing for the day I would find my long and lasting love.
1980s
The age of Teen Beat magazine in my life. Posters all over the wall. Feeling like I would "die" if I didn't get to see them in concert! Oh my! New Kids on the Block were my life in the 80s. I mean, who doesn't want Jordan to sing his falsetto "I'll be loving you..." to them! Second place goes to my man, Joey, in his "Please don't go, girl..." Man...memories, memories!
1990s
The 90s were high school and college for me. My taste in music took a turn to more alternative and rock, expanding my music horizons with new friends and experiences. Times were fun! This song has all the good feels of best friends, family, or anyone you love. So good!
2000s
After marrying in the late 90s, I looked for songs that explained how I felt about my newlywed life. Though this song is about long-distance relationships, the sentiment in the song was a good fit my relationship at the time.
2010s
Christina Perri has lots of great music, but A Thousand Years burst her onto the scene with it being used as a part of the Twilight movie series. THE wedding! Oh. my!
Now
In my life at this moment, this song pulls at my heartstrings every time I hear it. I belt it to my husband at random times to express my love. It's so beautiful.
What are some of your favorite love songs? I'd love to hear the titles in the comments so I can expand my playlist!
