Throughout the movie we get amazing lyrics, beautiful music, wonderful artists & singers.. and some slightly rehearsed acting. Definitely don't watch this movie for the acting-these cast members are singers, not actors, but the musical selections make it worth it!

As with all of Dolly's music, her selected songs for Magic Mountain Christmas tell the story of having faith, of trusting in Christ to show us the way, and to believe in the one who created us when things seem hard. She reminds us to seek out God's will and not our own, which is definitely a wonderful message for us to live by. Regardless of your beliefs and religion, Dolly's music does shine a light in a world of darkness, just like Jesus brought light into the world at his birth.

Honestly, as I sit here and watch this movie three days out from Halloween, this movie is giving me all the feels, so I know it will do so for you too. Whether you long for the Christmas magic past, or you are trying to create your own magic for your family now, this movie will have you swaying, singing, and potentially even crying as Dolly discovers and rediscovers her own Mountain Magic.
