Ten Minute Air Fryer Meatballs

A couple of nights a week, I need super quick meals for my family. We have a lot of afternoon and evening commitments, often involving the whole family or parts of the family. Since the cost of food has risen so tremendously, we have made more of an effort to cook most of our meals at home. It's hard to justify stopping for quick service meals when cooking at home is so much less expensive, not to mention is much healthier for all of us.

Since we are renovating our kitchen at home, I have learned to love my air fryer. We have been able to enjoy most of our favorite meals without the use of our oven for cooking. On busy nights, meatballs are a go-to meal for my family. They can be made ahead of time, take very little time to prep and cook, and can be enjoyed a variety of ways.

Secret ingredient- Kinder's Seasoning, The Blend ($6.79, Amazon)

Here's my recipe for easy Ten Minute Meatballs in the Air Fryer

You Will Need:

1 lb lean ground beef

1 egg

1/4 cup ketchup

2 tbsp yellow mustard

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2-3 tbsp Kinder's The Blend Seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic)

3/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, ketchup, mustard, sauce, and seasoning. Mix gently with your (clean) hands to combine. Here are my favorite non-slip mixing bowls with lids.

Sprinkle in the breadcrumbs, mixing with your hands until everything is well incorporated.

Tip- if your mixture feels too wet, add more breadcrumbs- a little at a time until you reach your desired texture. Don't overwork the meatballs or they will become tough once cooked.

Scoop the mixture into 1-inch balls and roll in your hands until smooth. Set the meatballs on a plate until you're ready to cook them. *Meatballs can be mixed and pre-formed for a later cooking time. Just place it in an air-tight container with a lid and store it in the fridge until ready to cook. You can also store in the freezer if the meat hasn't been previously frozen.

Coat your air fryer basket with cooking spray. Set the temperature to 400.

Line the air fryer with the meatballs, making sure that they are not touching on the sides.

Cook the meatballs for 9-11 minutes. 10 minutes was the magic number for me. No turning needed.

-This recipe yields 20 - 25 meatballs, depending on how large you want to make them.

I was so pleased with the way the meatballs turned out after cooking them in the air fryer! I was really skeptical about this cooking method. After all, I'm an Italian gal who is used to frying meatballs on the stove. I've also baked my meatballs in the oven, and have even made them in the crockpot. The air fryer method is by far the fastest, the least messy, and gave me the best results.

The best result! These meatballs are so tender and juicy! I guarantee your family will love these!

The final product- the juiciest meatballs I have ever cooked, all thanks to my NuWave Air Fryer ($116.99, Amazon)!

We had an amazingly delicious dinner, even though we were short on time. Everyone's tummies were happy, and we rested well that evening.

Leftovers? No problem! Leftover meatballs make great meals (or snacks). Serve them up on top of spaghetti, make yummy meatball subs with melted cheese, make a quick sauce for Swedish meatballs, or serve with BBQ sauce on a snack board! The possibilities are endless.
