Hip Hip Hooray! It's National Guacamole Day!

What better way to celebrate National Guacamole Day than to make a big bowl of it to indulge in? Here's how I make mine.

When I lived in New York City, my tastebuds were constantly immersed in some of the best flavors I've ever had. I was never a huge fan of guacamole until one of my friends there made some for me. Since then, I've taken to making my own. It's so satisfyingly fresh with crisp tortilla chips and it's even better paired with a nice margarita!

Guacamole

Ingredients

4 avocados

The juice of 1 lime

1 small onion - diced

2 roma tomatoes - diced

1-2 cloves of garlic - minced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves - chopped

salt to taste (I usually just use a dash)

Instructions

Peel, pit, and dice your avocados and mash to the desired consistency. I usually like my guac a bit chunky, so I don't do a lot of mashing. Stir in lime juice, onion, tomatoes, garlic, cilantro, and salt. Refrigerate for 10-15 mins to let the flavors mingle and serve. It's that easy!
