Five Must Try Products from J.R. Liggett's

J.R. Liggett's is committed to providing great products that are "Earth friendly and people friendly". Since I've started using their products, they have become a part of my every day routine. Here are five items that I now cannot do without.

1. Shampoo Bars

I have been seeing ads for shampoo bars for a couple of years now and I've been interested, but didn't take the plunge. When I was given the opportunity to try J.R. Liggett's, I decided it was finally time to give this interesting idea a try.

Offering many fragrance options, J.R. Liggett's only uses essential oils to create luxurious scents in their shampoo bars. This makes their bars a great option for people like me who have sensitive skin and break out and itch after using different products. I can't tell you how many shampoos I have tried in my life, only to be left with an itchy scalp and a full bottle that I knew I'd never use again.

It took a bit to get used to, but I finally got the hang of using a shampoo bar on my hair. You may wonder how the shampoo bars clean your hair without Sodium Laurel Sulfate, a detergent surfactant which is commonly used for anything that forms suds. I'm telling you, you will not miss those unnecessary, unhealthy additives when it comes to the condition of your hair after using these shampoo bars.

There are no detergents in these shampoo bars - meaning your hair does not get stripped of its natural oils. This was another learning curve for me. I had trained my hair for once a week washing with my other shampoo. When I started using J.R. Liggett's, I noticed my hair had to be washed more often, but I've managed to get it down to twice a week. I'll admit, I was a little peeved about this because I loathe hair washing days. However, when I noticed my hair was healthier than it has been in a long time, I didn't mind the extra washing. I am now having more "good hair days" than bad.

2. Shaving foam

This product has become another favorite.This shaving foam contains saponified Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, with Safflower Oil, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E., Essential Oils and Natural Fragrances. It leaves your skin so buttery smooth and soft after shaving. It worked incredible for both my husband and I. He loved the results on his face as much as I did for my legs.

Once again, like all of their products, this is hypoallergenic and dedicated to a sustainable Earth. It uses no aerosols, yet is quick foaming and allows for a close and smooth shave every single time. You need this in your arsenal for baby soft skin after you shave!

3. Lip Butter

As a young adult, I had horrible cystic acne. I was put on Accutane to treat it, but it came with terrible side effects including horribly dry skin and lips. Ever since, my lips always thirst for hydration, it's a real nuisance. I am very picky about the types of lip balms and chapsticks I use. I can't tell you how many chapsticks I've purchased just to throw in the trash. Chapstick has to feel "right" for me to want to use and out of the hundred out there, I have one, now two (thank you, J.R. Liggett's!) that I actually love. These lip butters are incredible! They make your lips so soft and don't leave a weird filmy feeling behind. They also smell incredible! My favorite is the Mango Butter. You will not regret buying these, that is for sure!

4. Conditioner Bar

Although the shampoo bars do a great job of leaving the natural oils in your hair to do their job, sometimes you need a little extra for your strands. My hair does a great job at producing oils at the root, but I find the ends of my strands dry and screaming for some extra love. This conditioner bar is super concentrated and long lasting (approximately equal to a 32 oz. bottle liquid conditioner). It does a great job at giving your locks a little extra "Oomf" and allows for easy detangling- something I desperately needed.

5. Body Oil Bar

Packed with Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Vitamin E, Argan Oil, Marula Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Almond Oil, this bar leaves your skin feeling "luxurious and moisturizing". It comes with a "bamboo wafer" for easy handling in the shower. It is extremely concentrated, so it lasts a long time. It is a great companion for the shaving foam to ensure your skin is oh-so-soft. I love how silky my skin feels after using this bar and I know you will too!
