Moving from one place to another can be a stressful experience, but it doesn't have to be. With the right planning and execution, moving can actually be an exciting time full of possibilities. 1. Create A Timeline:

Before you can even think about packing and moving, it's important to plan out a timeline of when everything needs to be done. Create a task list that outlines all the different steps that need to be taken during the move—from purging old items to packing up your current home, arranging transportation, unpacking at the new place, etc.—and assign yourself realistic timeframes for each activity so you don't get overwhelmed.

2. Gather Supplies:

Moving requires lots of supplies like boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and markers. Start gathering these materials before you start packing so you have enough on hand when it is time to load up the truck. Many people like to use recycled or used materials for this part of their move, so see if you can borrow boxes or find old packing materials from friends, family, and neighbors.

3. Purge Unnecessary Items:

Before packing up your house, take a moment to go through all your belongings and get rid of anything that is no longer useful or wanted. This will make the actual moving process easier and help you start fresh in your new home with fewer items to manage.

4. Pack Early & Strategically:

Start packing early, as soon as possible, once you have created a timeline and gathered supplies. Pack items in boxes according to their size and weight and label them clearly so they are easy to find when you need them at the other end of the move. It can also be helpful to create a packing list so you know exactly what is in each box and whether it should go with you or be dropped off at the new place.

5. Arrange Transportation:

Once everything is packed up, it's time to arrange transportation for getting your belongings from your current home to the next one. If possible, try to find a moving company that specializes in the type of move you are doing (long-distance vs. local). If you do not know about available moving companies, contact iMOVE to get a list of reliable and trustworthy movers.

6. Unpack & Set Up:

Once all your items have been moved to the new place, it's time to unpack and start setting up your new home. Again, take one room at a time and try to put everything away as quickly as possible so you can begin creating the space that best reflects who you are. Also, remember to take care of any paperwork related to changing addresses on accounts or registering with local services such as garbage collection, water supply, etc.

If you follow this all-inclusive moving guide, you should be able to get through the move with minimal stress. It's a lot of work, but it will be worth it in the end when you find yourself settled and comfortable in your new home.
