My boss gave me the best piece of advice, make memories instead of buying gifts. Memories will be with you for a lifetime. I am finding that this proves to be important advice and I am getting to make the best memories just being present in the day to day.
This past weekend Chris and I flew to California to be at our daughter's wedding.
It was absolutely breathtaking. J is Chris's daughter from his first marriage, but she is no less my daughter than E is his son. Biology didn't make us family, love did.
When Chris and I got married it was our kids that gave me away and being present for her wedding was surreal. This little girl came into my life like a whirlwind and my heart has always loved her. Watching her get married and recognize the love she deserves was such an honor. She will always be the little girl I fell in love with, but she is becoming a beautiful young woman more and more every day. Her spirit is entrancing, her heart is pure and good, and daily she reminds me a mother's love is unconditional.

The amount of love in the room was evident. The bride and groom, J&J, could not be a more perfect match. Our family grew this past weekend, and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for the both of them.
My advice to you both is to love without limits. Be good to each other and remember to be as happy each day as you were the day you said I do. People say marriage is hard, it's not. Marriage is what you make of it and you both are on the right path. I am so happy for you both.
