It seems like every year I try to make the Christmas Season last longer, and longer. I want to savor it for as long as I can, but it's not always that easy. With Crazy work hours and the stress of gift-giving, I feel like I'm doing everything I can, just to make it through this season. I want to thoroughly enjoy it this year, so here are a few things that I have been doing to make sure that happens.

• Putting Lights on My House: A few months back we moved into our dream home and the moment I saw it, I knew that we needed to put lights all around for Christmas. I've always wanted to put lights up, but I never had the chance. This year was different, and I'm so glad that we did. We found a local fireman that does landscaping and lights on the side, and he was able to make our dreams a reality, and it turned out great!

• Putting Out Tacky Decorations: Last year I found a blow-mold snowman at a local retailer, and I fell in love with the dumb thing. This has blossomed into a love affair with them, and the need to buy as many as I can find. So far, I've found a gnome, and a Christmas tree to add to the collection, and hope that I can add some vintage ones in the future.

• Driving to See the Lights: The great thing about my town is that our neighborhoods all connect. What I mean by that is, if you turn into one neighborhood, if you keep driving, it connects you to the next one, and so on. Before you know it, you've driven through 4 different neighborhoods. My neighborhood connects to two other ones, which allows multiple entries from different roads. So, on my way home from work, I'll pick a different entrance and drive around looking at the lights. Eventually, I'll wind back up in my neighborhood, so it's a fun and magical detour.
