All Aboard the Holiday Express! Now that Halloween is over, does your household instantly switch to the holiday season? I'm sure the taste is very important for those of you wondering about these popcorn treats full of holiday love. 

Iced Gingerbread Cookie Popcorn: Imagine basic microwaved popcorn that has had warm icing, crushed gingerbread cookies, and some spices like ginger, cinnamon, and cloves mixed with it. The result is hard to describe. The popcorn is like it should be- not stale, crispy, but at first the icing (think icing sugar used to decorate cookies) hits the palate. Then a subtle spice flavoring emerges as you swallow the popcorn. The end result is this sweet but savory experience that is wrapped up between the popcorn and all ingredients together. Honestly, it's quite addictive so be careful not to eat the whole bag!

Peppermint Hot Chocolate Candy Pop: Ok, I'll preface this by saying that I'm not the type that mixes her hot chocolate with candy canes or any peppermint flavoring. I like peppermint as a stand alone, but I had little hopes as I ripped open this bag. 

The peppermints are crushed and mixed with the popcorn. Hot Chocolate has been swirled on top of the popcorn as a light drizzled coating.The peppermint flavoring definitely shines through this particular candy pop. I really didn't taste the chocolate that much at the beginning, but It's definitely there and visible. One of the things that balances this flavor out is not every piece is 100% coated in the same way, so the salty popcorn helps to stabilize the sweetness. For me, it's not bad, but if you absolutely love peppermint, you will like this treat. IF you hate peppermint, I'd recommend steering clear. Popcorn pieces are covered with hot chocolate drizzles and are mixed with peppermint pieces. 

Also, these wonderful popcorn flavors can be used to create magnificent holiday treats. Eat as popcorn or snazzy it up with a holiday recipe. Several variations are made available to us, from frappés to cake pops. Don't be afraid to use candy melts to decorate your candy or cookie popcorn too! 

For an easy sweet and salty snack for the holiday road trips, Christmas movie binge-watching, or just out and about finding holiday light creations; the Cookie & Candy Popcorn snacks are definitely something to consider! Your taste buds will enjoy something else besides the normal gingerbread or sugar cookie this season!
