In my life, Chocolate is a must in my dietary pattern. It doesn't mean that I go crazy eating chocolate, but it means that I indulge in my cravings along the way. Yet, chocolate isn't always so kind to me, especially American chocolates made will additives and lots of sugar. 

When I heard about Functional Chocolate, I definitely wanted to give it a try.  Made to work in conjunction with our emotional and physical needs, Functional Chocolate bars exist to solve our health difficulties. Founder Chris Peruzzi created these bars to help his children deal with anxiety, stress, and even PMS symptoms. Today, Functional Chocolate bars exist in stores across the US (and online) for children and adults alike!

Heading back to school is no joke for those with anxiety and stress difficulties. Add in differing routines, to-do lists a mile long, and potentially difficult women's menstrual issues, it's a wonder that some of us survive the first few weeks back! 

This fall, surviving is made easier with a Functional Chocolate bar available to help your body get what it needs. Are your children super - tired from meeting all the new friends in their classes? Are you having trouble getting used to your children's new routines and need a pick me up? The Energy Chocolate Bar is formulated specifically to help us get up and gogo. And it truly does. For me, I only needed one bar to feel the effects of this espresso based product.

I know I've been like a squirrel as I figure out the fall programming pieces related to my church job. The Brainy Chocolate bar is formulated to help a person focus to be productive. It has an orange flavor that's not my favorite, but the blend of amino acids and botanical is definitely on point for getting my mind back into shape when I might have lost all hope before. 

I've been saving the Carefree Chocolate, formulated to stabilized stress, for those mad crazy days when I am so busy I can't think straight, causing my Garmin smartwatch to give me warnings. I haven't had those yet, but I am sure that with the return of fall programming, they will be heading my way. It has a mint truffle flavor combined with the effects of peppermint oil and chamomile to sooth and calm the soul. 

I haven't yet had a cycle to try out the Rhythm Chocolate, aimed to combat our fatigue and muscle aches, but I am looking forward to trying this out soon. It should curb mood swings, cramps, and has a smooth ginger flavor. 

So far my favorite is the Sleepy Chocolate. Aimed at helping us sleep, the lavender blueberry effect is absolutely luxurious. I have not been a great sleeper for about a month or so. When I eat this chocolate, I can feel my body relaxing and unwinding, so that I can drift off into slumber land. Note- I have had strange dreams a couple of nights when I've eaten a bar or so of this chocolate. Nothing like Friday the 13th style, but enough to wake up and go, wait, what?

Functional Chocolate bars are vegan, gluten-free, ethically sourced, GMO Free, Cholesterol free, and plant based. A serving size is 2 squares and that's the daily recommendation to get the effects from the bars. Each bar has about 3 servings per container. Made for humans 12 years of age and older, these bars certainly are functional to our health.
