Outside the Box Creation

This week I spent some time with my youngest, well, the youngest for now. We received a wonderful art box from Outside the Box Creations. This company sends out art boxes for your kiddos to learn more about art and harness their creative side. Annabelle has begun to show a keen interest drawing and art for the last year or so. She always walks around with a notebook and pencil at the ready so I thought an art box would be awesome for her.

The creator of Outside the Box Creation is a mother of 3 and knows how to put together art projects for her kids. She believes in young people using their imagination and problem solving to make art is more important than a perfect finished product. The company donates boxes, art supplies and time to non-profits and organizations. They work on making their art boxes as eco-friendly as possible.

We received the Atmospheric Perspective box that Annabelle thought would be fun to use. It came with some great products that Annabelle could not wait to open!

This box came with a pamphlet to explain what atmospheric perspective is, directions on the project we were planning to do, and other things we could do after learning the art technique.

The box came with everything we needed for our project. It even included a story book that demonstrated the technique we were about to try.

The step by step instructions helped us to navigate the project and Annabelle had a great time learning a new and different way to make an artistic background for her drawings.

The products in the box were quality art products that worked great. She enjoyed following the instructions, adding so much color to her scenery.

Outside the box creation is a great company that has multiple options to purchase. You can purchase a pre-paid subscription of 3,6 or 12 months. Also available is a month-to-month subscription (or every other month) until you pause or cancel. Or you can even purchase a one-time box that you can try out to see if this is the box subscription for you.

If you have lots of art supplies but not lots of art ideas, you can purchase a digital membership and get projects you can work on each month.

How the subscription box works: You first will pick your product, you can choose one of the box subscriptions, a trial box or a digital membership. If you order a box, they will then send out the box to your doorstep. Then you get to open your box and have a lot of fun learning and creating new art with your family. You can even share your finished project on their website.

These boxes are geared toward children ages 5-11. Younger children will need parental involvement with some of the projects.

They have two size boxes: the regular size box comes with enough supplies for 1-2 kids and the large boxes come with enough supplies for 3-4 kids. All supplies are full size products (not samples).

These boxes are real art projects. They teach real art technique and inspire artistic learning.
