Wear Your Swimsuit. Take The Picture. Live In The Now.

Recently, I had a revelation that I felt the need to share.

After I lose 10-20 pounds, I'll be able to wear that.

She has the body for that swimsuit.

If I had the body for it, I would wear it.

When I was in my 20's, I would have worn that.

My butt is too big for those shorts.

My boobs are too big for that top.

I have no boobs to fill out that top.

I don't have the right shape to wear that.

My belly is too flabby for a two-piece.

I'm too old to wear that.

Ladies- stop.

Please, just stop with every single toxic phrase above. If no one has ever told you, I will be the first to do so. You DO have the body for it. You ARE the right age for it. You have the right body for it. If you like it, you wear it and you answer to no one for it. I'm so tired of the toxic inner voice that many of us (myself included) have suffered with for decades. I need to share this with you because I needed to share it with myself not that long ago. It may be a generational issue, but many women in their 30's and 40's heard these phrases on repeat growing up and now when buying swimwear or clothing of any kind, they come back to haunt. It's the voice inside of their head. It spews lies and it needs to be silenced.

If you're curvy, celebrate your curves and buy the outfit that you love in the size that fits your body. If you're shape is more streamlined without many curves, embrace your thin frame and wear exactly what you love. Every single body is beautiful and the sooner we all begin believing that about ourselves, the better. You're awesome. You're gorgeous and you're loved. Don't forget it.

Blessings,
