Hi friends, I am so happy to see we made it through week 1 of 2022.  I hope you are no worse for the wear after this week.  It's been a crazy week. With having covid make a visit to my house, Monday was my first day back into the office since the 22nd. Wednesday sent some ice to our roadways that trapped me in a parking lot for an hour and Friday rounded it out with a snowstorm. Why oh why do I live in New England?

I'm not one much for the cold weather but I'm more scared of getting into an accident.  In this first picture I am just over a mile from my house. In that mile, I saw 5 accidents because the roads were just solid sheets of black ice. No sand or salt down because it happened so quickly and it was too cold to help much. 

I live in a cul-de-sac and it's down a hill. There is no way out of here unless you go down a hill or up a larger hill (2nd picture below)  to get to a main road. It was hard enough getting out of the garage (1st picture below).

I despise the cold weather, the mess that it brings and the fact that I'm 40 and haven't made the change to get out of the cold weather states. Fear of change? Fear of the unknown? I'm not sure but I do know I don't want to be where the air hurts my face forever.
