Happy Black Friday! Y'all, I'm not a Black Friday shopper, so more power to those of you who got up early to brave the sales and are currently standing in line while reading this post. I'm not a minimalist, but I've just never had a desire to go out and battle the crowds, the sales, and the angst that comes along with. It's just not me.
So what am I doing today? Most likely sitting on my rear at home, surfing Facebook, probably holiday decorating, doing some online shopping, and recovering from yesterday's meals!
While I don't host Thanksgiving dinner, I usually bring home leftovers. Many of you probably also have a fridge full of leftovers, so here are some ideas to make them taste well and repurpose, if need be!
Open Faced Hot Turkey Sammies: Break out the bread, the cranberry sauce, and the turkey for this delicious sandwich! I'm not a big turkey lover, but with some great bread, sauce, and stuffing this sandwich is awesome. I love adding brie (or add your favorite cheese) for that extra flare!
For a totally fatty non-healthy idea, check out these Potato Puppies. Leftover mashed potatoes are transformed into deep fried goodness! Don't forget your dip.
Don't forget about breakfast. Leftover Cranberry sauce will be absolutely amazing in these Cranberry Muffins with Oat Streusel Topping!
Finally, my winner for Saturday's game day might be these Thanksgiving wontons. They look sooo good and are probably so appetizing! Perfect way to use up some leftovers and watch the Carolina/ Clemson game (or your SEC, ACC, or even NFL game of choice!)
Happy Thanksgiving!
