It's been almost a month since my 40th birthday and I am starting to realize age is nothing but a number.  I still feel young but old at the same time.  I remember by 10th birthday like it was yesterday, but I can't remember why I walked into a room when I know it was on a mission.

My youngest sister just brought a new life into the world and it amazes me that when she is my son's age he will be 40 and I will he 60. It seems a lifetime away but if history repeats itself it will go by in the blink of an eye. 

In 40 years, I have been blessed by so much. I have faced traumas and came out on the other side. Maybe getting older isn't too bad.  It helps when you have the best support around you. My husband sends just because flowers, my son checks in with me daily, and despite everything that is negative that goes on in this world I have so much that I am continually blessed with.
