Brighten your senses and rooms with Buckeye Candle Co #MBPHGG21 #Review

Thank you to Buckeye Candle for sending me these great candles for my review! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I've often heard that candles seem like the cheap cop-out gift, but what if it was a really thoughtful gift? What if you knew the recipient loved the cozy comfort that candles bring to their home? Candles often bring scents, smells of comfort and delight, and opportunities to curl with hot tea and a book.

I love receiving candles as gifts- if they are scents I can tolerate! I love it even better when the candles come from a small business made with love and care. I love knowing I'm support small family businesses and I love knowing that everything I receive was made with love because the people are passionate about what they do.

This year, give the gift of a Buckeye Candle to your loved one.. or perhaps even yourself! Buckeye Candle Co is an Ohio based shop that handmakes ALL of it's soy scented candles. These candles definitely smell great! Candles can be shipped directly as gifts with all of the pretty packaging and gift messages.

Buckeye sent me 3 candles: 1 Peppermint Bark Candle (16 oz), 1 Marshmallow Fireside (8 oz) and 1 Pumpkin Soufflé (8 oz).

Each candle is made within a mason jar- either full size or pint glass style. There are three types of lids to choose from: pewter, daisy, and regular. I received all regular lids, but looking at the pictures online- the daisy lid is soo cute! I would definitely love to receive as a gift! Each jar is wrapped with some twine and a simple Buckeye Candle label.

While the candles I received are made in mason jars, larger sized candles (48 oz, 64 oz, 97 oz) are available in large glass apothecary jars with lids.  The smaller mason jar candles will burn between 30 -42 hours, the larger mason jars burn around 60, and the apothecary jars claim to get 250 hours. As with any candle, it depends on how you trim the wick, how the wax melts, and even how long you actually burn your candles.

I usually put my candles on when I am stressed, at home in the late evening, and what to feel relaxed some. Occasionally on a weekend, but not really that often, will I burn candles.

The Pumpkin Soufflé is probably my favorite fall scent now. With hints of pumpkin, vanilla, cinnamon, and maybe even sugar (does sugar have a smell?), wafting through the air, one dreams of cool fall days with bright blue skies and hay. No? Just Me? I mean, I do live in the south and on the coast, so fall doesn't actually hit us that often, but a girl can dream.

The Peppermint Bark is for those long winter months when I need some good ole sinus relief. I don't know what it is about peppermint- maybe it takes me back to the days of being a kid at my grandparents. My Poppop always had peppermints in his Sunday suit pocket, in his car, and in the candy dish at his house. They soothe the throat, soothe the stomach, and soothe the soul. The smell takes me back to those days when life was stress-free! This peppermint bark smell is straight up in your face though, so if you aren't one of those gals/ guys, I'd avoid it!

The Marshmallow Fireside smell is gonna be for a gift. If you love campfires, smores, woods, and vanilla- this candle is for you! I hope it's recipient will love it as much as I love opening up the lid!

Buckeye even sends notes on how to burn your candles. Nothing worse than melting a hole straight through the center, causing uneven burning, right?

Buckeye says "The first time you light the candle, allow it to burn until the liquid wax covers the entire top of the container. This process ensures that the candle will burn properly in subsequent lightings. Keep the wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch before burning each time. If you notice a large flame after lighting, the wick is too long. Blow out the candle and trim the wick before re-lighting.

To prevent the candle from boring a hole down the middle, burn candles at a minimum of at least one hour for each inch in diameter. Ensure that the melt pool is all the way around the glass each time you burn the candle to allow the candle to burn for the longest possible lifetime."

I also love how eco-friendly these candles are made! Using natural soy is great because soy burns clean and doesn't pollute the air. Even cotton wicks are used that are lead and zinc free! As always, the glass jars can be reused for various things afterwards, or recycled.

Buckeye's prices are great too. Ranging from $18.00 - $67, the size and type of container will influence the cost. Tealights, Wax Melts, and other items are available too!

I know- some parents are thinking, heck, I can't have glass around. My kids are too crazy! Hopefully, there is at least one place in your home where these candles can hold court! Mine is currently up on the mantle- away from bumps and hands (cause I'm as clumsy as they come) and if I had littles, would be high so they couldn't reach!

Buckeye Candle Co offers the perfect candles to gift this year! With their natural products, their simple glass jars, and beautiful wonderful scents, there has to be something for everyone!
