Fab Slabs Cutting boards have been extensively tested by a NATA-approved laboratory for the four most common food viruses E Coli, Salmonella, Staph, and Listeria. Tests conducted on Fab Slabs boards showed that bacteria were unable to survive after a short time on the board. Further tests on Fab Slabs boards used domestically & commercially for the past 7-10 years showed ZERO bacteria growth. Fab Slabs Boards are both NATURALLY AND PERMANENTLY ANTIBACTERIAL.


All cutting boards or chopping boards are milled, kiln-dried, and manufactured on the Sunshine Coast, about 1 hour North of Brisbane, Australia.


They kiln dry all of their own timber in state-of-the-art solar kilns. These kilns can dry around 7500 boards at a time. Kiln drying stabilizes the timber and prevents it from cracking, twisting, warping, cupping, and going moldy. Dry timber equals stable timber. All Fab Slabs Camphor Laurel cutting boards are made from one single slab of kiln-dried Camphor Laurel. Fab Slabs does not use multiple pieces of timber laminated together to make cutting boards.


I received a medium slab and it is so gorgeous! I love displaying it on my stove and using it. I get complimented on its beauty. We really like how easy it is to care for.

Cutting Board Care

Do:

·         Wash your cutting board in hot soapy water after using it for cutting or serving.

·         Dry the cutting board and put it away.

·         When it looks dry, oil it lightly with edible oil, such as grapeseed oil.

Do Not:

·         Put the cutting board in the dishwasher

·         Leave out in the sun

·         Leave soaking in water

·         And there is no need to rub salt or lemon into the board. Your Fab Slabs board is naturally antibacterial already and does not need salt or lemon to kill any germs.
