Happy Saturday, friends! We are finally on our last weekend before school ends. I am always a little impatient for summer break to arrive and this year is no different.... well, maybe I am slightly more impatient. Now that summer is so close and the issues of the past year are seeming to quiet down, we have been working on a list of things we hope to accomplish over the summer. Our big goal- to read at least 40 books between the four of us.
As much as we love to read, it's easy to get distracted by the chill vibes of summer. Swimming, riding bikes, amusement parks, camping, picnics, etc. All of those things are great, but so is reading. Since we recognize the struggle, we've started compiling our lists of books we want to read.
R's List So Far (9 years old)
-Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing
-The Baby-Sitter's Club: Kristy's Great Idea
-Roller Girl
- Snow and Rose
D's List So Far (13 years old)
- The Hunger Games
- Born Wicked
-Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
-Wicked Fox
Okay, so only the girls have started compiling their lists, Matt and I are still working on ours. I'll probably just read whatever I am able to get my hands on over the summer. I have a few books just sitting here that I could read and I know my sister has hundreds I could borrow, so I'm certain we will easily pass our goal.
If you have book suggestions for us (kids or adults), let us know. We love checking out all kinds of genres and authors!
Have a spectacular Saturday!
