Happy February!

2021, hasn't been too much different than 2020 so far, but I am bound and determined to make it a great year! Now that January is finally over, because I know I can't be the only person who felt as if January was 100 days long, I am excited to see what February has in store! February is the month of love, Black History, American Heart Month, Groundhog Day, World Marriage Day, National Pizza Day, and so much more. There's just so much to celebrate and be happy about in February!

Right now, I'm trying to plan something nice for my hubby on Valentine's day. We're not big into celebrations and making a big deal out of things, but I really want to change that. I've been looking into local bed and breakfasts and Inns that we can maybe stay a night or two, that won't break the bank and aren't too far from home. He and I rarely get to spend time together anymore because we both work weird hours and I'd love to spend a day or two with him, with absolutely no agenda.

I'm also planning to give him something small, every day leading up to Valentine's Day, that represents my love and appreciation for him. This could be something as simple as a piece of his favorite candy with a sweet note attached, or it could be a gift from somewhere that he loves. Even a handmade gift would be nice to give him because we all know that handmade gifts mean so much more to people. I'm planning on hiding them in his lunch pail so he'll have something fun to open at work unless it's NSFW, then I'll keep that one at home, lol!

I'll be getting a lot of my materials from the Dollar Store, and Ross, because those are some of my favorite stores and I know that I won't break the bank by shopping there! I'll be taking lots of pictures and documenting everything, that way I can share some tips and ideas if you're interested in doing this at home. But, don't limit yourself to just your spouse, this would be such a fun thing to do with your kids as well. If you're looking for ways to give back to your community, you can always adopt an elderly person in a nursing home, or assisted living center, and do this with them. They're so lonely bored and depressed right now, and I'm sure they'd love to get something each day that shows someone cares about them.

Whatever you decide to do or celebrate this month, do it with love and kindness!
