It has taken me several years to be okay with the title of Dog Mom. Nine years of my husband and I trying to have children has taken a big toll on my heart, but one thing that has remained constant during these years besides our love for each other is our love for our dogs. They have become our children in a sense and while some people don't understand that concept, if you know, then you know! You know what it's like to love and care for a pet just like you would a family member because they are members of our family. Luna and Diesel, our two rescue pups, are our babies and I wouldn't change that for the world! 

So, I wouldn't say that I'm just okay with being a dog mom, I've embraced being a dog mom and my hubby has embraced being a dog dad! I will fully and gladly display anything in my home with that title, and I'll wear it proudly so that others know! That's why I'm so excited to be able to work with Rover! But first, let me tell you about the one product from the Rover Store that I already do have in my possession, one that I can not stop wearing, and one that I keep getting compliments on whenever I or my hubby wears it! This would be the Dogs & Carbs Crewneck Sweatshirt in black, which sells for $32 and goes up to a 2xl, which is the size I got. Now, the reason I got a 2xl, is that I love a good oversized sweatshirt and that just so happens to be my husband's size and I wanted us both to be able to wear it! 

The sweatshirt is a poly-cotton blend, with a soft and fuzzy fleece-like lining on the inside of the sweatshirt. It is machine washable, which is great because our dogs shed like there is no tomorrow! I've washed this shirt twice now, and I will mention that after the first washing I did notice some slight fading with the color, but the print on the shirt didn't fade or come off at all. After the second wash, I haven't noticed any further fading, so all-in-all, I'm pretty pleased with how it washes. The fabric is extremely soft, not itchy at all, and is so comfortable to wear. I work in a skilled nursing facility, and we are completely casual dress at the moment. I have worn this to work twice, and both times I've been stopped so people could read what it says, Dogs & Dogs, & Carbs, & Dogs, which makes people either giggle and say how cute it is, or ask me where I got it because they want one too! 

I'm really enjoying the sweatshirt, but I love that my hubby and I can share it! It was pretty cold out a few mornings ago, and without hesitation, he grabbed it out of the closet and threw it on. He said he gets a good laugh from the ladies, but that it really is a great conversation starter, and he gets to talk about his dog's, so why wouldn't he love wearing it?! It's so cute to see him wearing it, and I think we might just need to order a second one because I know we are both going to want to wear it at the same point, sometime!
