12 More Movies It Just Isn't Christmas Without

A few years ago I put together a list of 12 movies that our family watches every year at Christmas. I recently re-shared the list on my personal social media accounts and talked about it with the girls and basically was inspired to add a few more movies to the list so.... here's the list of  '12 More Movies It Just Isn't Christmas Without'!

1. Noelle (2019)- This is a newer movie, but it's been added to the list because we all just enjoyed the story so much. R couldn't recall the name, but asked to watch it the other day by describing a scene!

2.  March of the Wooden Soldiers (1934) - I cannot believe this did not make my original list. When I was younger, I watched this movie as much as I watched A Christmas Story. It has been a while since I've seen it, but I'll be watching it again (and introducing it to the girls) this year.

3. The Christmas Chonicles (2018)- Another newer movie we're adding to the list. I think Kurt Russell is one of my favorite actors of all time and him playing Santa, while unexpected, was just perfect. All 4 of us thought this movie was great and we'll definitely be rewatching it (and The Christmas Chronicles 2) for many years to come!

4. Tom and Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale (2007) I think I may have disappointed D a little by not including this gem in the first list. We've been watching this one since she was a little girl (she was born in 2007!) and we'll continue to watch it for as long as she asks.

5. Eloise at Christmastime (2003)- We love the Eloise books and this film adaptation is so sweet. Another one we've been watching since D was small and will continue to watch as long as possible!

6. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989)- Okay, so many people I know believe this one should have been on the first list. I think it's a great movie, I'm not sure why I overlooked it, but it's here now!

7. Christmas with the Kranks (2004)- I love this movie and it's become a tradition for Matt and me to watch it together every year. It's so silly, but parts of it still make me all teary eyed.

8. Jingle All the Way (1996)- Another one Matt and I love to watch together. mostly because the girls don't appreciate it yet, and it's a nice throwback to our younger days.

9. It's a Wonderful Life (1946)- I can tell you exactly why this didn't make the list last time- I had never seen it! I watched the original and a remake (with Marlo Thomas, thanks to the suggestion from my Uncle John) last year and loved them both. There's a reason it's basically been synonymous with Christmas and I'm so glad I finally watched it.

10. Arthur Christmas (2011)- One that the girls enjoy a great deal and said needed to be on the list. They've been watching this together for the last 3 or 4 years as a "sister date night" thing and I hope that tradition continues forever!

11. The Family Stone (2005)- It's been out for 15 years, but we just started watching it around the holidays kind of by accident and love it.

12. Gremlins (1984)- Another one I'm a bit ashamed didn't make the first list. My friend watches this with her family every holiday season, which I love and am totally going to copy that tradition starting this year!

Okay, did your favorite(s) make the list? If not, what did I miss? Let me know in the comments and be sure to catch us on social media
