Weekends with the Wigglesworths- Thanksgiving Preparations 2020 Style

Happy Saturday, friends. This weekend just began, but I'm already feeling a little bit uneasy because I know there's a bunch of things to do and I'm not feeling at all motivated to do any of them. Since we're doing Thanksgiving at home this year, I want to make sure that I have everything I need without getting too much because there's only going to be the 4 of us. Even though I am feeling a little blue about not spending the holiday with the extended family like we usually do, I am so so happy to be having Thanksgiving at home this year. I love to cook (even though I don't like the clean up), we can celebrate in our jammies (if we choose), and we won't have to deal with any traffic! I'm also looking forward to a pretty fantastic surprise that is supposed to be coming next week, just in time for Thanksgiving, and boy oh boy am I feeling extremely thankful for it. First, though, there are the not so fun parts!

Today involves a few trips to pick up items we need for Thanksgiving dinner. I'm glad that I preordered and don't have to enter any of the stores, but I'm sure the parking lots will be a bit wild because it's not only a weekend but the weekend before a holiday.

I'm also trying to figure out how to organize our dining room and living room areas. We need to clear off the dining room table and find a safe spot for the girls' school tools. In the living room, we have to decide where we'll be putting the tree this year, and then make sure the area is cleared.
I feel like every year, around this time of the year, I realize that we have entirely too much stuff. Because I've been home since March, I've been trying to get rid of the things we don't need as often as I can, but we still have too much! I think I might need professional help

Oh well, I better go drink my coffee and hope to find some motivation at the bottom of the mug, because these things must be done and I'm no Samantha Stevens (or Sabrina Spellman), even though I still sometimes try the nose wiggle (finger point) just to see if maybe today's the day 😉
