I have a fairly unhealthy relationship with food. There are times when I do okay as far as diet and exercise are concerned, but a lot of the time (and especially now during this darn pandemic) I am just a mess. As I get older, I am realizing, more and more, the importance of a conscious and consistent effort to ensure I am getting the proper nutrients my body needs.
I've also been reading some information lately, which indicates the "right diet type" has a lot to do with one's genetics, so when the chance to work with Dynamic DNA Labs presented itself, I was pretty excited. I was looking forward to gaining insight into what the right diet type would be for me, based on my genetic makeup.

My Experience
Because of my issues with food, I thought the Nutrition DNA Test would be a great fit. The product description indicated that this test would "help you discover 43 genetic traits related to your diet, eating behaviors, nutritional needs, and more." I was particularly curious about what my DNA would have to say about my eating behaviors. I was also a little anxious about what exactly I would find out.
The instructions included in the kit were super clear and the test itself was easy enough to perform (sorry no pictures of the process).

Things have been a little chaotic at Wigglesworth Manor, so I have only just sent my test out, but I'm looking forward to receiving my results soon. I can't wait to update you all!

I think the at home DNA tests are a good thing. You can find out things that doctors do not normally test for and they have a low fixed cost as apposed to tests thru a doctor.
