Weekends with the Wigglesworths- The Kids are Away So Mom and Dad are Having a Date Day!

Happy Saturday, friends! Today Matt and I are having a "date day" because the girls spent the night with their Grandparents last night and are spending the next few hours with them today. Matt and I very rarely get time together where both of us are awake and don't have to worry about the kids, so anytime we spend together alone is so treasured, but all I can think of is how our "dates" have changed!

Last night, the highlights of the evening were picking up Chinese food for dinner and staying up to watch a movie! Today, it seems the highlights will be going shopping at BJs and maybe finding a new shelf for our living room. If I have to do all this humdrum grown-up stuff, I can't think of anyone better to do it with.

After we pick up the girls, we'll be working on a school assignment with R, who gets to do an egg drop experiment. D is excited to help her figure everything out and I'm pretty excited to see how well her contraption to keep the egg safe works out.

Yeah, our weekend might be pretty tame compared to when we first got together, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!
