Tools To Help Create New Habits and Change!

Let’s talk about forming new habits

If anything, this year has been about pivoting and change.  A lot of us are not good at change or even forming new habits.  We need guidance when it comes to personal development, well at least I do. 

Have you wanted to change your behavior for the better? Or create a new habit? 

This could be getting in the habit of eating healthier and drinking more water. Or it could be moving more and taking the dog for a daily walk. Or it could be work-related, or spiritual, or… There are so many areas in our lives that could be improved and made easier if we created new habits. 

If you are anything like me, getting into the habit of doing something is often easier said than done. I'm always saying I want to meditate or drink more water!  But do I do it- not really! We seem to acquire bad habits without any effort, but getting into a “good” habit can be a little more challenging.

Well, no worries. I want to introduce you to a series of books/journals that are going to help us! The Habit Nest sent me a few journals to review, and WOW, I'm super impressed. 

The Habit Nest is all about building healthy lifestyle habits. This is no normal journal, either!  The Habit Nest journals are filled with tips, strategies, motivational content, and it walks you through 66 DAYS!  Oh, and it is also is about accountability to stay consistent on working towards the end goal.  

I bet you wonder why 66 days ( I was)- researchers found that it takes 66 days to form a habit.  Now it isn't a magical number, but that is how long it takes to build the habit into your life.  These journals are like having your own personal trainer that will be asking you questions every day! 


I started the Meditation Journal because meditation is something I NEED in my life. Being at home with everyone, I don't have my own space, plus I need the time to get focused and ready for my day. Before this journal, I would meditate here and there, but Habit Nest Journal really has been my accountability partner.

I love how it has walked me through The Why, The Who, and The What. I really had to think about this and go deep on why I need this in my life. 

 Now the journal also helps with PHASES of building a new habit:
  • Hell Week- Day 1-7
  • Staying Consistent Day 8-21
  • Hardwiring-Retaining Interest Day 22-66
I'm in the middle of Staying Consistent, so I see the light! The journal has content, guided meditation, pro-tips, daily challenges, food for thought, clips & podcasts, success stories, and my favorite part, the affirmations.

 I was given this book for exchange for my review, but to be honest, I would have done a review anyways- it is that GOOD! Spark Change- 108 Provocative Questions for Spiritual Evolution! by Jennie Lee. 
I have been enjoying this book so much! Every day I read a new question and then write my thoughts. It really has helped me grasp what I need to change and why. I also have my husband sit down daily to do the questions- he is so hard-headed and not into change, but this book has opened his eyes a bit more, and is willing to work on things.

Every morning after my meditation, I get out my Spark Change book and start with a new question. This is such an amazing process for me that I feel so much growth and gratitude for my life already. I want to give this book to everyone I know, I swear. This book is available on AMAZON.
