If you've been considering trying a new, seasonal drink from your favorite coffee shop but would rather someone else spend the money and tell you what's up, I'm at your service.

I used to be a Starbucks girl through and through and I suppose when push comes to shove, I always will be. However, Dunkin Donuts has given Starbucks a true competition in the last few years which has put them on the map as a real contender! 

If seasonal drinks are not your thing, don't worry, I feel you. I used to be that person. In fact, Christmas drinks are still not my thing. You will not find me indulging in a caffeinated beverage with mint, creme brulee or toasted anything. Nope. 

In 2019, Starbucks introduced the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and I was skeptical. They first launched their popular cold brew in 2015 and it wasn't until a couple of years later that I discovered my love for the smooth, overnight-steeped blend. If you love coffee but hate the sometimes bitter aftertaste, I suggest you give cold brew a try. If done well, it can be velvety smooth and is my absolute favorite way to drink coffee.

As much as I was enjoying Starbucks cold brew, I couldn't help but take notice when Dunkin came out with their own cold brew. I can honestly say, I love both original cold brew beverages equally and both popular coffee shop chains have done a killer job perfecting the cold brew! 

This is all good and well but what about seasonal drinks? Most people think of the "PSL" or Pumpkin Spice Latte when they think of Fall coffee drinks. Dunkin Donuts has a popular PSL that can be served hot or iced. I've tried this beverage and my personal opinion is that is does not hold a candle to the Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. 

There you have it! My absolute favorite seasonal drink is the Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and just as I did last year, I will mourn it's absence when it once again leaves us. 

The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is served by adding vanilla syrup to regular cold brew coffee giving the coffee itself a gentle sweetness that is not overpowering. They blend cream and a special mix of heavenly secrets in a blender to pour over the top of the cold brew and a magical tie dye masterpiece occurs. 

This beverage has changed my life and if you happen to get lucky enough to be in a Starbucks drive-thru that has an almond croissant, you simply must order one toasted to perfection. There may never be a more perfect culinary treat. Our local Starbucks informed me they get 2-3 almond croissants a day and they sell out immediately. They are not on the menu! There are a few who know the secret and now, you do too! 

I'm not dissing Dunkin. I absolutely love their cold brew and this is how I order mine:

Medium Cold Brew, light ice, 3 caramel, 3 cream.
