Weekends with the Wigglesworths- Recreating Our Childhood Memories and Sharing Them with Our Children

Happy Saturday, friends! So much has happened this year and I have had nothing but time to think about my past and get all nostalgic about certain childhood memories. One of my most treasured childhood memories is starting my weekend off watching Saturday morning cartoons. Over the last few days, Saturday morning cartoons from my childhood have been on my mind heavily, even invading my dreams, so today I'm doing something about it.

I made a list of some of my childhood favorite cartoons and found different ways to watch them. The girls are familiar with some of them already, thanks to all of the streaming apps, but I'm nearly positive we've never scheduled an old school Saturday morning cartoon fest, so today that is exactly what's happening. I'm talking Jem, The Jetsons, Inspector Gadget, The Smurfs, and anything else we're able to find and stream.

I usually try to get everyone to sleep in on Saturday, but maybe recreating the Saturday mornings from our own childhood and sharing that with our girls will end up giving Matt and me the energy boost that we often find ourselves needing. I know it wasn't lacking when we were kids, perhaps Saturday morning cartoon sessions were (at least partly) responsible for that boundless energy I remember having way back in the nineteen hundreds 😉

I hope that you have a great weekend. I'd love to hear about some of the cartoons you remember from your childhood. Be sure to leave a comment with your favorites and I'll add them to our list, if they aren't already on it!
