When I became a mom, I made somewhat of a deal with myself to continue to make an effort to feel pretty, even if in the simplest way.

As my two little boys were enjoying their day at school, I decided to do what countless other stay at home moms do during the day: visit Kohl's. 

Typically, I do not go shopping during the day but I had been feeling a little blue and wanted to treat myself. The cosmetic section at Kohl's is not a spot I generally pause to browse but on this particular day, something caught my eye.

I'm not big on lipstick, but I love a kiss of color. The Lique lip gloss is the perfect amount of color and shine. I've tried so many other glosses that feel sticky, thick and sometimes just gross, to be honest. This lip gloss is none of the above. It just feels like the perfect amount of smooth moisture. I love the shade Forever Young that I'm wearing in the picture above. I love a good full face of makeup as much as the next gal, but as of late, I've been sticking to natural looks with minimal effort. You'd be amazed what a splash of color on your lips can do for your appearance!
