Happy Saturday, friends! We had such a wonderful few days with Matt's family last weekend and this weekend we are looking forward to disconnecting from devices and social media and just enjoying the "little" things, which more and more of us seem to be noticing are in fact the most important things.
You might remember, we've gone old school before. It's such a relief to get out of our daily patterns from time to time. To just reset and bring back into focus the important things in our lives. To take a break from the negativity that tends to sneak into our daily lives. To just breathe; deeply and steadily.
I also think it's important to show our girls that it's okay to be inaccessible from time to time. To see that not every single moment of every single day requires them to be connected to everything and everyone. We can tell them all we want, but unless we set that example, it's not going to mean diddly squat. I want them to have better experiences in adulthood, for them to be able to set healthy boundaries for themselves.
