Weekends with the Wigglesworths- Adventuring with Apprehension

Happy Saturday, friends! The Wigglesworth crew is looking to go on another small adventure today, even though there is a (medium-sized) part of me that would rather stay home. It's not that I don't want to go adventuring, it's more like I've been overthinking what we could expect and now I'm overwhelmed.

Earlier this week, Connecticut got hit by Tropical Storm Isaias. Because of the damage, much of the state lost power, and our Governor has declared a state of emergency. So now, in addition to worrying about the virus and the uncertainty of what to expect during the upcoming school year- my brain cannot stop thinking about all of the reasons why we should just stay home today, even though I know that we won't be going anywhere unsafe and that it's important for us to get out of the house for at least a little while. Sunshine, fresh air, exercise- we need them.

There are a few nearby events that I'd like to check out (and that seem to still be taking place), including The Farm's First Annual Sunflower Festival right in Woodbury, CT. It's been about 2 years since the last time we went to a field full of sunflowers and I think seeing them today may be just the thing to help switch my focus. I could deal with a little less "gloom and doom" today.

What are you up to this weekend? I love hearing about your adventures so be sure to comment below or catch me over on the MBP Facebook Page

Have a spectacular Saturday!
