Anyone loves to eat crispy chicken and that's why it’s an excellent choice to serve for a gathering. However, this time you can try and twist the recipe around to prepare a healthier version of chicken dippers. You can never go wrong with buffalo chicken dippers or the crunchy cornflakes crusted chicken dippers we are about to present. Let’s take a look at the recipe.

Ingredients:
- Boneless, skinless, fresh chicken breasts cut into wide strips
- Milk of choice (you can choose dairy-free milk also)
- Cornflakes cereal
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Paprika or cayenne pepper
- Olive oil
- Paper and salt
Preparation:
- In a large bowl add the milk and lemon juice and stir to combine.
- Add the chicken in the bowl and mix well to coat all pieces
- Cover the bowl and let it soak for an hour
- Preheat the oven to 200°C
- Line a baking pan with baking paper
- In a clean bowl add the cornflakes and crush it to smaller pieces
- Add the spices, a tsp of olive oil and season per preference
- Lift the chicken from the marinade, add each piece in the bowl with cornflakes and make sure to coat with the crumb mixture evenly
- Add each thin piece on the baking paper
- Sprinkle olive oil over the prepared chicken dipper and put the baking pan in the oven
- Bake until the chicken is cooked and appears crispy golden
You can serve the chicken dippers with sour cream dip or mustard. Add the crunchy chicken dippers in a large round plate and the dipping sauce in the middle. These chicken dippers are equally good hot from the oven and cold.
2. Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Bites
The second recipe on this list is not intended to provide a healthy bite, rather it presents an immensely delicious one. Combining chicken and bacon results in yummy bites worth the extra calories. The bacon-wrapped chicken bites are easy to prepare and are best served hot. Here is what you’ll need to prepare the wraps.
Ingredients:
- Chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces (the size should be adequate to the size of bacon strips to be able to wrap it)
- Bacon - thick or thin sliced, per preference (make sure they are long enough to wrap around a piece of chicken)
- Salt and pepper for seasoning
- Brown sugar
- A handful of parsley for garnish *optional
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 250°C
- Season the bite-sized pieces of chicken with salt and pepper
- Roll each piece with a slice of bacon
- In a small bowl add several tablespoons of brown sugar and roll each piece to coat well
- Line a baking pan with parchment paper or thin foil
- Place all bacon-chicken wraps on the baking pan
- Bake for about 45 minutes
- Once done, take the chicken bites out of the oven and leave them to cool for several minutes
Serve the wraps in a big round plate and garnish with parsley. These bites go excellent with beer and make the best food for a Superbowl night. No need to mention that men absolutely love the bacon-wrapped chicken bites.
3. Avocado-Chicken Rolls
Back to another simple and healthy appetizer, avocado and chicken rolls are stuffed with protein and healthy fats aside from being finger-licking delicious. They are ready in about 30 minutes and make excellent finger food for a casual gathering. Kids love the taste of the rolls and it’s an easy way to get them to savor avocado and enjoy a nutritious-dense meal.

Ingredients:
- 1 avocado, diced (choose an avocado that is firm on touch, to avoid buying ripe avocado)
- 300 grams of cooked chicken breasts, shredded
- 50 grams of shredded cheese the preferred type
- Salt and pepper
- 1 package crescent dough
- 1 egg
- water
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 200°C
- Line a baking pan with packing paper and
- In a clean and dry bowl mix the diced avocado, shredded chicken, cheese, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until the whole mixture is smooth and creamy
- Dust a kneading surface with flour and roll out the dough
- Cut the dough in about 10-12 long strips
- With a spoon take from the chicken mixture and add on the edge of each strip
- Fold the stripe with the chicken mixture inside and press the open edges to close the mixture inside the dough
- After you are done folding each piece place them on the pre-prepared baking pan
- Whisk the egg and water together and brush over the top of each piece of pastry
- Baked in the preheated oven until done, looking puffed and golden brown
- Let it cool before serving
You can serve the recipe 30 minutes after it’s done, to let it cool and sit. You can also let the rolls cool down and put them in the freezer to have them ready for another day. Take them out of a freezer and let them unfreeze for half an hour. Put them in the oven to heat up for 5-10 minutes and they will be good as fresh. Enjoy!
