They say if you love what you do you will never work a day in your life. I feel the same could be said about marriage. 13 years ago I agreed to be his girlfriend and each moment we have shared has built us to the couple we are today.
Let me tell you about my husband...
He is the provider, the lover, the friend, the goofball, and father any woman would want to have to bless her life. I don't say it to brag, but to encourage all women to never settle for anything less than the best when it comes to your heart.
When he asked me to be his girlfriend, I was coming out of a long term relationship that damaged me. I wasn't sure I would ever want to be with anyone again. I told him I didn't want to hurt him and his response solidified what would be the story of us... "I'd rather be hurt by you than never have the chance to love you."
In 13 years he has never stopped loving me, supporting me, or being the man he was when we dated. Today, I celebrate the man he is.
