Happy Saturday, friends! I know things are going to be a bit different this summer, but now that we are in the single digits for the countdown to the end of the school year, I'm getting a little more excited about things. This weekend, I'm especially excited because I'll be doing something to help bring a little smile to some people in our town.
Recently, a friend invited me to join a Facebook group to help support others who need a smile during social distancing. The gist of the group is to find a member (a stranger, a neighbor, or anyone really) and surprise them with a gift. You may be familiar with similar groups or have even seen videos of "wine fairies" making the rounds on social media. I absolutely love the idea so I went about looking for members of the group who live in my town.
I found 3 members that are rather close by. Each one "jumped out" at me for a different reason. One works a job similar to mine, one has the same first name and loves purple, and another lives right here on my street! I am excited to put together a few gift baskets and work on my ninja skills to "wine" these people without getting caught. I wish I had a costume, but I'm going to have to go the baseball cap and sunglasses route to be as disguised as possible.
