These Orange Veggies Are Dressed To Impress This Thanksgiving

A few sweet potatoes lingered in my garden so I decided to go for an even sweeter take on this delicious veggie.

Maple Syrup Carrots and Sweet Taters

What you'll need are a few sweet potatoes (depending on the size of the crowd, use as many or few as you like), sliced carrots, salt, pepper, butter and maple syrup. That's it! Cut the veggies into bite sized pieces and saute in a LARGE nonstick skillet with the butter and seasonings until fork tender. You can saute until your desired tenderness. I like my veggies like I like my man...

TENDERHEARTED AND SWEET!

Amen?

At the very end, add in just a drizzle of 100% pure maple syrup and saute for 2 additional minutes. The salt mixed with the sweet maple syrup and soft root vegetables is an amazing combination. If you've never thought to add carrots to your sweet potato saute- definitely give it a try! They are the perfect compliment to one another.

If you make this for Thanksgiving dinner, please drop me a line and let me know! I've made this scrumptious side dish twice now and my family and I cannot get enough!

Happiest of holidays to you and yours,
